Set up your dates in the app first. Then touch and hold an empty part of your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Mama Countdown. Choose Countdown for a small or medium widget, or Pregnancy Dashboard for the large one. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, and add Day Count.

From the first day of your last period, the due date is 280 days later. From a conception date it is 266 days later, and for an IVF transfer the embryo’s age at transfer (day 3 or day 5) is taken off. If your doctor or midwife gave you a due date, usually from a scan, choose “My due date” and enter it; that is normally the most accurate.

Pregnancy is counted in completed weeks: “24 weeks 3 days” means the 25th week. If your dates were corrected at a scan, open Settings, tap Change dates, choose “My due date” and enter the date from your scan.

By default only a number of days and a calendar icon, with no pregnancy wording. In Settings you can choose weeks and days (hidden until you unlock) or an icon only. Home Screen widgets are also hidden on the Lock Screen’s Today View and in StandBy while your phone is locked.

Open Settings in the app and tap Stop tracking. After one confirmation, your dates, to-dos and logs are removed and every widget goes back to the setup state. No reason is asked. Delete all data also resets your settings.

Yes. Setup asks whether you are expecting one baby or more. The weekly sizes are reference values for one baby, and the app labels them that way; your care team will guide you on what to expect.

Not yet. Your data is kept only on the device where you entered it, and it is included in your normal device backup.

The widget moves on at midnight on its own, without needing a connection. If you have just travelled across time zones, opening the app updates it straight away.
